Did you know an actress and model attended Soper High School?

Beckah Boykin is one of the most interesting athletes ever to go to Soper. She was a basketball player and a team manager in Softball. During softball, Coach Beaird often told me how impressive she was. Why? She holds a clipboard? She was selfless and a joy to be around. He explained it was a noticeably different vibe if she wasn't around.
She and a classmate named Dakota Branton both played Soccer. Soper didn't offer the sport, so they traveled to Paris.
When I finally did get to interview her, I remember it well...I immediately messaged her mom about how kind and impressive she is. Then Beaird, and he replied, "I told ya so."
Years later..what? a model? WHAT?
Years later....OMG She's in a movie?
Did I mention she was a Choctaw Princess, stickball player, and her picture has been painted on the wall at the Travel Plaza and Durant Casino?

One of my favorite people to ever watch a game with was at Soper High School

Mr. Branton would yell "Booyah!" and his voice lit up the gymnasium.
Smiles, cheers....if they were down by a fair amount and the gym was quiet....not for long with him around. He was such a fun man at the games.

Soper's 2009 baseball team had 16 players receive invites to play in college. That's so many!
